Rules of Entry for “Nutritional Health Food Innovation Award”

1. Purpose
Taiwan Food Health Society (hereinafter referred to as Our Organization) has specially set up the rules for entry in order to encourage our country’s manufacturers to independently develop high quality and innovative “nutrition and health food” new products.
2. Applications Qualifications
In addition to being a group member of our organization, applicants should also meet the following conditions:
(1) It must be a domestic manufacturer (company or factory registration certificate must be attached), and it must have an R&D and quality assurance (or quality control) department (personnel resumes and equipment introduction must be attached)
(2) It must prove or explain that the product has nutritional and health care ingredients, formulas, innovative processes or production technologies, and the development of the product is the result of independent research and development or industry-university cooperation. Products already on the market must be produced in food factories that comply with good operating practices.
3. Application Procedures
Applicants should apply before the application deadline determined by the Board of Directors and Supervisors of our organization, and provide samples of the product and relevant research literature on its ingredients, raw materials or products to prove a support that the product has physiological health effects or special nutritional value that can be recognized by the General academic community. Please prepare ten copies of each sample and information for review.
4. Evaluation Method
The evaluation shall be conducted by an evaluation committee elected by the organization’s Board of Directors and Supervisors. Those who are recognized by the evaluation committee and recommended to and approved by the organization’s Board of Directors will receive this award.
5. Giving Recognition
The organization will award medals and publicly commend them at the annual meeting. Manufacturers are also allowed to promote the product in compliance with the “Health Food Control Act” and related regulations. The winning unit will receive a medal, and the health authority will be invited to witness the award presentation.
6. These regulations shall be implemented after being approved by the Board of Directors and Supervisors of the Society, and the same shall apply when revised.
